Thomas Locks is a mobile locksmith business based in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. This policy explains what personal information thomaslocks.com collects, why, and what happens to it. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- When you use the contact form: your name, phone number, your email address if you give one, the type of service you need, and your message.
- When you call, text or email us directly: whatever you choose to send us that way.
- When you browse the site: how the site is used, collected by Google Analytics. This includes the pages you visit, the buttons you click (for example tapping to call or text), your general location (city level), your device and browser type, and how you found the site.
- Our website host keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address and browser, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
How we use it
- To reply to you, give you a quote and do the work you ask for.
- To email you a confirmation that we received your message, if you gave an email address.
- To understand how people use the site so we can improve it.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Contact form messages
Messages sent through the contact form are emailed to Thomas Locks at dillon@thomaslocks.com. The website does not keep a copy in a database. The emails are delivered by our email provider, Resend.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the site. It uses cookies to recognize returning visits. It does not tell us who you are by name. We keep Google Analytics data for 14 months.

Other services on this site
- Maps on the site are provided by Google Maps. When a map loads, Google may set its own cookies.
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
- The site is hosted by Vercel.
- Links to Facebook, Instagram and Google reviews take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
Some of these providers store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages are kept in Thomas Locks' business email for as long as they are needed to serve you and keep business records. Google Analytics data is deleted after 14 months.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also tell us to stop contacting you at any time. Use the contact details below.
